- *PSY 311 – Developmental Psychology (CRN 1013) Taught by Dr. Dugan
- The psychological study of human development from conception to death. Stages and issues of development throughout the lifespan are identified and examined.
- *PSY 334 – Social Psychology (CRN 1037) Taught by Dr. Cloud
- Examines the function and mechanisms underlying how people think about, influence, and relate to one another. A central theme is the continual interaction between the person nad the situation.
- PSY 349 – Behavior Modification (CRN 1087) Taught by Dr. Strapp
- A survey of behavior modification topics including principles of learning and relevant methodology. An exploration of practical applications.
- *PSY 360 – Cognitive Psychology (CRN 1100) Taught by Dr. Schwartz
- This class provides an overview of basic topics in cognitive psychology including learning, memory, attention, sensation, perception, language/phonology, and problem-solving.
- *PSY 367 – Intro to Research Methods (CRN 1168) Taught by Dr. Espino-Perez
- An exploration of psychological research including topics of design, methodology, statistical analysis, and report-writing.
- PSY 446 – Psychology of Teamwork (CRN 1150) Taught by Dr. Yutzie
- Introduction to leadership, focusing on what it means to be a good leader. Emphasizes the practice of leadership. Helps students understand and improve their own leadership performance.
- PSY 450 – Psychopathology (CRN 1014) Taught by Dr. Roscoe
- Exploration of the nature, causes and treatment of various forms of mental health concerns and disorders in adults. A range of abnormalities will be examined from reactions to stressful events to psychosis.
- *PSY 467 – Quantitative Methods (CRN 1171) Taught by Dr. McMahan
- Methods that psychologists use to describe, summarize, and make inferences about measurements made on people, things, or events.
- GERO 484 – Death, Dying, & Grief (CRN 1174) Taught by Dr. Bouchard
- This course involves a lifespan exploration of the meaning of death, dying, and bereavement from a variety of contemporary perspectives.
