Dr. Cannon - Office: TODD 346 What do you want students to call you? "My name is Melissa Cannon, and my students call me Dr. Cannon or Dr. C." What classes will you be teaching in Fall '26? "I will be teaching a First Year Seminar about resilience and aging, GERO 200: The Aging Self: Your Pathway through Adulthood, and GERO 480: Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Types of Dementia. I’d love to see Psych students in these classes!" What was you most memorable undergraduate experience? "I majored in Community Development at Portland State University, and I had a group project that involved creating a community garden with lots of educational programming right next to a school in southeast Portland. It was so awesome to feel like I made an impact, and I learned so much from the experience!" Dr. Ibaraki - Office: TODD 345 What do you want students to call you? "My name is Alicia Ibaraki, I'd like my students to call me Dr. Ibaraki or Professor Ibaraki" What classes will you be teaching in Fall '26? "The Fall term schedule isn't fully finalized yet so this is all subject to change, but I think I am teaching a seminar on Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, and Introduction to Psychology II What was you most memorable undergraduate experience? "Studying abroad in Beijing and camping out overnight on the Great Wall of China!" Dr. Espino-Pérez Office: TODD 332 What do you want students to call you? "Dr. Espino-Pérez" What classes will you be teaching in Fall '26? "I am teaching PSY 367: intro to research methods in the summer, and in the fall, I will be teaching: PSY 334: Social Psychology PSY 492: Psychology of Women PSY 367: Introduction to Research Methods" What was you most memorable undergraduate experience? "I loved being a research assistant. It helped demystify the research process and I could see myself doing research for my career. And now I do! :)"

Michelle - Office: TODD 337 What do you want students to call you? "Michelle Jones (prefer to be called Michelle)" What classes will you be teaching in Fall '26? "I will be teaching PSY 445 - Intro to Industrial/Organizational Psychology and OL 607 - Purpose-Driven Leadership Seminar" What was your most memorable undergraduate experience? "My academic advisor told me about the field of Organizational Behavior when he learned that I was double majoring in Psychology and Business because I was interested in both. Before he told me about this field, I did not know there was a way to seamlessly combine these two fields of study. He encouraged me to both apply for jobs in consulting and to apply for graduate school programs. I applied to both things and got both a job offer and an acceptance into graduate school and had only about 48 hours to decide which path to take. His advice to me at the time (which was GREAT and I use it all the time for things still in my life) was to take 24 hours to pretend I chose one path and see how that felt. Then do the same for 24 hours with the other path and see how that felt. Then go with my gut based on how each of those felt. He knew I make decisions very logically and rationally so I think he was trying to balance that out a bit :)" Dr. Powell - Office: TODD 329 What do you want students to call you? "My name is Dr. Tracy Powell and I like being called Dr. Powell or Professor Powell by my students." What classes will you be teaching in Fall '26? "Fall term: PSY 336 Introduction to Forensic Psychology; PSY 201Z Introduction to Psychology I; PSY 202Z Introduction to Psychology II" What was your most memorable undergraduate experience? "Good question! Sitting in first year classes of 300-500 students and realizing just how many other people like me wanted to study psychology and further their love of education and learning. It was a humbling experience while at the same time highly motivating in pushing me to work hard to earn my place in the profession and one day attend graduate school!"
